At the moment we are looking for a Field Services Junior Support Engineer to help maintain our cutting-edge technology solutions.
Our vision is to be world leaders in the provision and management of specialist IT infrastructure solutions. To be able to achieve this, we employ a dedicated and highly skilled engineering team who look after our client’s technology needs.
As an engineer at the company, you will be tasked with making configurations, actioning installations and fixing technical problems that are of a more complex nature than those that the senior technician would attend to. You will support senior engineers and work directly with clients or jointly together with technicians.
What we will expect you to do:
We will ask you to take responsibility for larger parts of an installation, fixing technical problems of a complex nature, as well as problem management
You will develop a basic understanding of business principles and administration abilities
We will need you to assist the technical service desk team by providing telephonic support to our clients

Here’s what we are looking for in candidates for this job:
Experience as a field support engineer – let’s say about 1 to 3 years
A+, N+ Essential
MCSE Preferred but Not Required
Computer Hardware, Electronic Equipment, Windows Operating Systems, MS Office, Printer Hardware, understanding of Mobile Computing e.g. Email on Phone and Tablet
Drivers licence and car essential
Key abilities required:
Able to be a good team player, because we need you to comfortably interact and liaise with management, co-workers and clients alike
Able to have an investigative nature – to be able to spot risks and resolve issues quickly and with the minimum disruption to our client’s business
Availability to work occasional overtime is required
Compliance with process and systems
Accurate and analytical
Non-negotiable for us:
We need you to drive the successful operation of our client’s computer systems forward
You must begin to specialise in a particular field of either technology, vendor or product whilst maintaining a broad technology understanding
If problems arise, we need you to initiate action and resolve the issue
